Which driver version for your graphic-card is currently installed? There were known problems with ATI and Windows Vista, but not with Windows XP.
Additionally please tell us, is there anything overclocked, either CPU or GPU or even both separately?
And a last question, were you able to test CrashTime with Windows XP SP2, that means before you installed SP3?

I'm using the official ATI catalyst 8.3, but i also tryed the demo version (having the same problem) with the official catalyst 8.2..
nothing is overclocked on my pc.. i just enanched a bit the timings on the rams.. but i never had any problem with every other games.. i also finished cobra 11 nitro the last year and the graphic was perfect..

yes.. i tryed the demo version with sp2 too before i installed sp3.. but the problem was identical.. and i can't understand why :S

We had the same problem with ATI cards since Shadermodel 3 (because geometry instancing is supported since then) in combination with some drivers since 8.x (don't know which exactly). We use geometry instancing to draw more than one tree at once, so this is the most likely cause.

You can disable the usage of geometry instancing by extending the Config.ini (located in the installation folder) like this:

[Resolution]
DisableGInst=1

I cannot guarantee it, but this should work, maybe accompanied by a slight degradation in performance.

You might also try upgrading the drivers to 8.5, which are available since a few days.
