I need anyone's help for this, specially Krom if you're reading this! I want to improve the traffic behavior on the Autobahn track. All I need is two templates and then the splines have to be set. The first is a double lane usual Autobahn string (right and left lane for two lane sections). If there is a three lane section, the two main lanes should switch to the center and the right lane. The left lane should be a separate string (single left lane or double for center / left lane) and it's supposed to be slightly faster than the other (right / center lane) string. The exits can be used by the main traffic lines (crossing option). Alternatively, a third individual string could be made specially for exits and the bridge ways crossing the Autobahn on the second level.

This is possible, I know it! I just can't really control the strings, they never really match and there never is a straight line. Others can do that much better than me. I just would like to give the concept and one of the techies (Krom or anyone else) could do the lines. Anyone interested?

Hi Nina. I can give you one hint. I know how to add more traffic cars.

Step 1:
Go to WR2 directory.
When you are there, go to 'traffic' folder. Then go to 'Streets'. Open it and there are all .slt files.

Step 2:
You can open one of these .slt files with notepad.

In the very first line, there are 6 numbers. In my case I see '10 200 15 220 201 1'.

Step 3:
Now you can modify the amount of traffic with those numbers. The first one (the '10') tells you how much traffic cars are in the scenario. In this case there are now 10 cars driving around. If I want to have 100 cars, I simply change the line to '100 200 15 220 201 1'. After the changes you've made you gotta save the file.

Step 4:
After you saved it, you can start the game and enjoy a joyride with lots of traffic. The thing here is that you can only have more traffic in joyride. If you wanna do races, it doesn't work if the value is higher than 20 if I remember it right. The game will crash that way.

I know the SLT files, and I want to have the traffic on "10" there, so I can play with any setting in any mode. And on Autobahn, "10" is enuff, trust me. What I need is: Intelligent cars that don't crash into their fore-drivers.

Sodele, ich bin ein grosses Stück weitergekommen! Überzeugt eusch selbsch, ich habe ein Teschtvideo gemacht. In Kürze wird der Mod zum Daunlod zur Verfügung stehen und dann kann Hansolo den Mod auch sehr gern auf seiner Webseite anbieten, wenn er möchte (ich wurde von ihm angefragt deswegen).

Wüschtüsch: Der Autor der Autobahn isch natürlüsch Krom und er hat auch den Grundstein für den Verkehr gelegt! Ich habe ledüschlüsch ein paar Verfeinerungen an der Intelligenz vorgenommen! Danke für die Kenntnisnahme. ^^

Joa, der Mod isch fäddüsch, jetzt muss ich nur noch einen Hoscht finden, um ihn zu lagern, weil alles was ich hab, isch ein Bilderhoscht.
