First off: Highway Nights is awesome. Second the Hornet Cop is even more awesome. The hornet cop is what the Hunter Citizen should've been in Burnout Paradise. However the one thing I loved to do in Crash Time and Burning wheels: chase trains, cannot be done in Highway Nights. Why? I was gonna say to Criterion Games "Now this is an open world racing game. Learn from people that know what they're doing." but unfortunately... (don't get me wrong, you guys know what you're doing when it comes to games)

Also, the AI cop cars that drive around the city.. are there any missions that involve them? I know there's the opponent ai vehicles where I can shadow them, race them, etc.

Some locations like railways are not accessible because of lack of time to make all in a look people would say "fantastic". When those areas would have been kept open some users would come and say "see how ugly the game looks".
Synetic is a small company and they do fantastic work with the few people they have so the result in getting a much bigger scenery was the closing of some areas.

Police AI cars are not involved in missions in any way. They just drive around.
